Speak out Council Consultation Jan - March 2017

We have had a group discussion at Victoria Lodge to answer the questions set by the Speak out Council.  The subject was relationships.


A group of 10 people talked this over for about two hours and produced a very good list for the council to use.


The first question was:
Who are the most important people in your life and why.


Answers:
Mum and Dad, sisters, brothers
Step dad,
We see these people every day and they are our family.  We grew up with them.


Support staff, care managers, respite families.
These people help us to do things we want or to learn new things. We go to places and do things that we might not be able to do without their help.




The second question was:
What makes a relationship work well.


Answers
We talked about this for a long while.  We have a list of things that we think make any relationship work.

1. Respect
2. Communication
3. Trust
4. Common interests
5. Having fun/humour
