On the menu this week!

In our Thursday cooking session we made... cheese potato croquettes as part of our lunch. And served with roasted vegetables. Was super tasty.

We made music in the sun!

Everyone had a good time making music with the great instruments which we are lucky to have...
Smiles all around as everyone took their turn to explore the different sounds the instruments can make. 'Britain's got talent' here we come!

There's a lovely smell in the air...

Oreo and Rolo Blondies

'OH MY GOODNESS THESE ARE AMAZING!' was the general feedback we got when we shared our baking today!

Everyone worked together so well as a team... it was great to be a part of. 

And the smell that graced our corridors was out of this world. We all of a sudden became very popular with everyone in the building.

The recipe was by one of our favorite amateur chefs on YouTube 'Barry Lewis' of my Virgin Kitchen'!

Cocktail anyone?

Last week at the hub... we made cocktails (well mocktails!) They were delicious.
Everyone tried their hand at it and we had so much fun!

If you'd like to join us at the Hub, you are very welcome. It's open to the public every third Thursday of the month in the evening! We're always doing lots of different activities.

Out enjoying the sunshine together...

We all took in turns each day last week to go out for the day. Everyone chose to go to Sandringham, and why wouldn't we? It's stunning. We are so lucky to live so close to a Royal National treasure.

We all were blessed with lovely sunshine. We took our time to walk around and soak in the beauty around us. Including the Sandringham church where the Royal family go. Then into the woods to find the amazing wood sculptures. We then found a perfect spot to stop for our picnic with of course the obligatory ice cream!! And then... a look in the gift shop before heading back to base. The group who went out on Monday, stopped off at the old royal train station in Wolferton and had a little explore and took some lovely pictures to show everyone. However...The group who went out on Friday stopped at the Knights hill pub for a refreshing drink in the shade of the beer garden! (alright for some!!)

These days out were thoroughly enjoyed by all, and lovely memories were made to cherish!

Easter Coffee Morning

We would like to say a great big thank you to all who came to our Easter Coffee Morning.
After expenses we raised a fabulous £189.14.  That's a fantastic amount and will help us to povide a better service in the day centre.
We really appreciate all the work that goes into these events and also all those who support the centre by donating prizes or coming along to the event.

Bits and PC's

We have some exciting news of a new project coming soon. 
The Bits and PC's project will be starting in the next few weeks.  We will be refurbishing old PCs that have been donated by the County Council IT department.  These would otherwise have been scrapped.
Once we have repaired the computers, we will be donating them to people who may not be able to get one otherwise.
We collected a huge pile of computers from Shire Hall last Friday.
Here are some pictures of the hard workers.  We were all worn out by the time we had finished!
Phew!

Hi again everyone.

As it's a New Year, we thought that it would be s good time to have a new look.  After much searching and messing about, we chose the theme that you see here.

New year film reviews

Here are a couple of our favourite films of the last few weeks.
Firstly, Paddington 2.  we watched this excellent film a few weeks ago.  It's definatley one of the daftest, funniest. fun films we have seen for a long time.  This is a must-watch film for the whole family.

Next, we watched Spiderman, homecoming.
This is another great fun and exciting film.  Imagine yourself as a teenager who suddenly discovers that he has super-powers!  Now imagine how much fun that would be!

First Hubb of 2018

Here we go with a whole new year of the Hubb.

The first date to remember is the 18th of January.
This will be a quiz night and also be planning activities for the rest of the year.
So come along, have some fun, and help us plan for the future.
We look forward to seeing you then.

Christmas dinner

Happy New Year to everybody.
Christmas is our favourite time of the year.  You already know that we love food, so it will be no surprise that Christmas dinner is one of our favourite meals of the year.
