Scottish theme day

On Wednesday 14th June, we are having a Scottish theme day

We will have Haggis with neeps and tatties for lunch,  Then we are going to try our hand, or should that be feet? at some Scottish dancing.  We'll pin the tail on Nessie and test our knowledge with a Scottish themed quiz.

We are looking forward to this day, it should be great fun.

 

Summer is nearly here!

We are very pleased to be able to tell you that our new garden furniture has arrived.

We have been looking forward to getting some new chairs and tables for our garden for a long time now.  With all the effort and help from everyone they have finally arrived.

This is going to make a big difference to our summer.  Now we can make so much more use of our garden. Thank you to all those who have helped us to get this great addition to our centre.

 

As you can see, we are alreeady loving our new garden.  The furniture is really good quaility so it should last for a long time.

We couldn't have bought anything as nice without all your help.  Thank you very much from everyone here.

Rags2Riches update

Today we want to update you on how the Rags2Riches project is going.

We are really pleased to tell you that we have made over £160.00 so far this month.

This comes from selling our sweets at Hrewaood Hall and other places, sales of clothes, books, and other items from the centre, and one or two things we have sold via eBay. 

This is a fantastic amount .  We would like to say a huge than yu to all who have contributed.

We have been updating pur shop at the cntre with new display shelves and a big change around of the items on show.

Some of the things we are buying with the money raised include new garden furniture and some new lights for our disco.  The centre really benefits from all the money raised and we are very gratefull for evryone's help and contributions.
 

Some of our favorite days

Thiis week we thought we would tell you about some of our favourite days from the last few months.  Every day there is someting different to do in the centre.  Here are some examples of the great things we have been doing this year.

Every few months we have a fish snd chip lunch for all those in the centre.  This is a very popular day!  We all love our fish 'n' chips. 

In another session we found out about endangered species.  Luckily the tiger was very friendly!

This is our disco room.  We have a disco evry Friday afternoon.  Thais gets us ready for the weekend.  Soon we are going to buy some new lights with money raised by Rags 2 Riches and our coffee mornigs.  Thanks to all of you who have helped us raise lots of money over the last months.

Another session helps us to find out about the solar system.  We made a model to show the different planets and where they are compared to the Earth.

Here is a video of us helping out at the "Love Your Home " event at the Queen Mary Centre.  We go to this each mont and take part in the activities.  Each month has its own theme.
