Hereward Hall reception

Just a quick note to keep you all updated.

You may remember that two of our people run the reception at Hereward Hall in March on a Tuesday. Recently we had some bad news that we would not be able to continue this excellent opportunity as the room was going to be used as an office.

After much discussion and negotiation we are really pleased to say that we have now been allowed to move back as from Tuesday of next week.

Thank you to all who have supported us in getting back this valuable service.

The Christmas show

On Friday last week we performed our Christmas show. we sang songs from some of our favourite musicals.
The show we chose are

Wizard of Oz
Sound Of Music
Oliver
Grease
Mary Poppins
Titanic

We had lots of people who came to watch and we had lots of brilliant comments from everyone. Thanks to all who came to support us on the day. We would like to say a special thank you to Terry for loaning us his flood lights.

Also a huge thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets and drinks and mince pies. All of this helped to raise £100.00 for the centre.

A Special Thank You

We want to say huge thank you to Karen for all her hard work to make sure that our day centre is always a fab place to be.
We presented with her with a bunch of flowers as a token of our thanks.

Children in need

Last Friday we joined in with Children in need by coming to the day centre dressed in our pj's.
It was brilliant fun. Some people, not mentioning any names, had too many cake. see the pictures for the evidence.

Early Christmas Hubb

Santa had a practice run last week at the Hubb. He seems to have remembered what to do.
We all had a great time at our early Christmas.

Making Money Count for November

This month at the Queen Mary Centre we made some decorations using wood, nails, and string. Justin helped us to make these excellent things. Have a look at the pictures below to see how we did.
Justin hopes that he can come to the centre to do some more crafts with us. We hope so to. We would like to say thanks to him for showing us how to make these great decorations.

We would like to remind you that Saturday is the 11th of the 11th. This year we have made a special wreath for the centre.
We mounted on the wall as a special reminder for all of us about the huge sacrifice made by those who fought during the World Wars.
